Our free handyperson service can help you with jobs which can keep you healthy, safe and secure in your own home and include:
- Fitting grab rails and stair rails
- Moving furniture (hospital discharge)
- Chair raisers
- Toilet frames
- Shower seats
- Removing trip hazards
- BT extensions
All referrals to this service if made by a relevant health professional are free of charge.
Our chargeable service can offer help with small repairs and DIY jobs around the home
The kinds of small jobs that our Handyperson can do for you include the following (but this is not an exhaustive list):
Gates & Fences (repair, replacing broken hinges, fitting padbolts and padlocks)
Fitting curtain rails, poles and blinds
Plumbing works e.g. unblocking sinks, bleeding radiators, (replacing tap washers is free of charge)
Internal joinery e.g. easing and refitting doors, erecting shelving and boxing in pipes, assembling flat pack furniture
Security: fitting spy holes, door chains, door locks, window locks

The paid for service costs £36.36 per hour (minimum charge) plus the cost of materials. We can assess the work before hand and advise you of the cost before any work is carried out.
